Now an established feature of the Newmarket season, "Countryside Race Day" is a great family event with lots of traditional country sports and pastimes on view for visitors to enjoy before a quality afternoon of racing gets under way. As well as, top class horseracing and pony racing, the day will feature a selection of interactive activities, still to be confirmed by the racecourse. The first race is at 2.05pm so plenty of time to socialise and grab a bite to eat before rushing to the Tote betting window! Newmarket has a strict dress code for the Members’ Enclosure – smart dress is a requirement. Jackets and ties are not obligatory, but racegoers wearing denim, t-shirts or other collarless shirts, beachwear, trainers, unduly casual or extreme attire will not gain entry to the Members enclosure but will still be allowed in the Grandstand & Paddock Enclosures.
