Porsche Muscle Dream Driving Experience Programme, Silverstone – Tuesday 22 July 2014

Includes an overnight stay at the 5 star Whittlebury Hall Hotel & Spa.

 Muscle Dreams Foundation

The Muscle Help Foundation is looking to invite eight (8) young Muscle Warrior hopefuls to join our petrol-head

Answer the question below – using no more than 150 words tells us just how much of a fan you are in terms of fast-cars (especially Porsche cars!) and how much it would mean to you to be selected as a member of our PorscheMuscle Dream programme

QUESTION: How much of a fast-cars fan are you and what would it mean to you and your family to win a place?

Should any potential beneficiaries have a learning disability, Mum's and/or Dad's and/or brothers / sisters etc can of course and indeed are encouraged to help with this submission - the more fun, more creative, perhaps a poem etc … so much the better!

Being able to show just how much of a petrol-head you are, may secure you a place on what is the charity’s 4th Annual Porsche Muscle Dream programme hosted by the Porsche Experience Centre at Silverstone and Whittlebury Hall Hotel & Spa

1)      Email your 150 words to: info@musclehelp.com no later than SUNDAY 8th JUNE

2)    You MUST include the full name & age (DOB) of the potential beneficiary

3)    You MUST include contact details ie. email address, telephone landline & mobile (that we can call you on)

4)    You MUST include type of muscular dystrophy & also whether the beneficiary is a manual / electric wheelchair user

5)    Submissions received after this date will NOT be included in the charity's final selection process

6)    Minimum age = 10yrs, maximum age = 28yrs

7)    The charity will inform each family by phone after the 8th JUNE 2014 deadline (within 1 week)

8)    The charity's decision is final

Priority is given to young people (boys & girls) who have NOT been the recipient of either a unique Muscle Dream or one of the charity's Muscle Dream programmes in the last 2 years (24 months) – as with all Muscle Dream activities, our beneficiary audience are children and young people in the UK suffering from the muscle wasting disease, Muscular Dystrophy and allied neuromuscular conditions

Mobility in terms of transferring / being assisted by a parent / guardian / carer into a Porsche (normal car seats will be used as opposed to bucket-style seats as these are much more rigid and therefore significantly less comfortable) is important – reasonable upper torso, head and neck movement will ensure maximum beneficiary enjoyment of this experience. Possession of portable hoists and appropriate slings (if required to enable ease of transfer into and out of different vehicle types) will need to be brought by families

The programme will be filmed and photographed; the charity will require written consent by parents (for those under 18yrs).

The full programme schedule together with a number of surprises will be revealed on the day of operation ie. TUES 22 JULY

There are eight (8) places available on this programme ie. a maximum of eight (8) beneficiaries

For each beneficiary, a maximum of two (2) places are available ie. for parents/brothers/sisters/guardians/carers

Note: we recognize that occasionally a 2nd carer is required to assist a beneficiary; if this is the case, please let the charity know

The group will come together at Whittlebury Hall Hotel & Spa just outside Towester (10mins from Silverstone) for check-in, registration, briefing and a light lunch. We will then depart in convoy to the Porsche Experience Centre arriving at approx 3.30pm/4.00pm for afternoon tea and a ‘back-to-school' fun classroom-style Muscle Warrior group briefing. Passenger laps will consist of three elements, namely handling circuit, kick-plate and low friction areas. We expect to be driving on-track from approximately 5.00pm onwards

There will be a choice of Porsche cars including the 911 series and there will also be an opportunity for an off-road experience in a Porsche Cayenne (allowing up to one additional passenger to be present in the back-seat), although this part of the programme will be discussed in detail in advance and agreed with each parent due to the nature of this driving activity ie. steep gradients, occasional upper-body jolting etc

Safety first and foremost and beneficiary comfort are of paramount importance – our aim is to ensure that all beneficiaries and those involved have a fantastic experience – indemnity forms will need to be completed along with the charity's Medical Recipient and Muscle Dream Profile forms - these will be emailed once the chosen beneficiaries (and their families) have been accepted onto the programme

Finally, the Porsche experience will end with an on-track group photograph, prize-giving and certificate presentations. We will then depart in convoy back to Whittlebury Hall where you will have some free time to freshen up before coming together for the signature Group Muscle Warrior Celebratory Dinner in our private dining room beautiful, the Bentley Suite

Detailed accommodation arrangements will be made in advance of the programme for each beneficiary to stay-overnight; accommodation includes a full English-breakfast the following morning. Depart at your leisure

We look forward to receiving your 150 word submissions no later than SUNDAY 8th JUNE

Simply email info@musclehelp.com and make sure you include the required info ie. Name, age (DOB) and contact details

Best of luck!
